Session 2013
The PGPF intern will work with the CSIS Global Aging Initiative, a research program that explores the long-term fiscal, economic, and geopolitical implications of population aging in the United States and around the world. The internship will be structured much like a graduate research seminar. Under the supervision of the program director, the intern will assess the comparative strengths and weaknesses of the United States in confronting the aging challenge; investigate the steps that other countries are taking to control the growth in pension and health-care spending; and draw lessons for the U.S. entitlement reform debate. The intern may also be asked to assist in organizing a CSIS conference on entitlement reform that is now in the planning stages.
